NDIS Services

What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian government initiative that provides funding and support for Australians with a permanent and significant disability. It helps participants achieve their goals, increase independence, and participate in the community.

Am I eligible for NDIS?

To be eligible for NDIS, you generally need to: be under 65 years old when you first apply, be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa, and have a permanent disability that significantly affects your ability to participate in everyday activities.

How do I get started with EmpowerLink NDIS services?

Getting started is easy! Simply contact us via phone, email, or our online referral form. Our team will guide you through the process, discuss your needs, and help you understand how we can support you with your NDIS plan.

What NDIS services does EmpowerLink provide?

We provide a comprehensive range of NDIS services including: Community Nursing, Personal Care and Daily Living Support, Community Access and Social Participation, Mental Health Support, Domestic Assistance, Transport Support, and Skill Building programs.

Can you help me with my NDIS plan review?

Yes! Our experienced team can help you prepare for your NDIS plan review by documenting your progress, identifying changing needs, and ensuring you get the support you need in your next plan.

What is the difference between plan-managed and self-managed NDIS?

With plan-managed NDIS, a plan manager handles your invoices and payments, giving you flexibility in choosing providers. With self-managed, you manage all finances yourself. We work with all management types and can help you understand which option suits you best.

Support at Home

Can EmpowerLink support a Support at Home participant?

EmpowerLink can assess a nursing or support enquiry only when the participant’s registered Support at Home provider formally arranges the agreed service through a documented third-party delivery arrangement. The registered provider remains responsible for care management, the service agreement and program obligations. EmpowerLink does not claim direct Support at Home provider approval.

What is the Support at Home program?

Support at Home replaced the Home Care Packages Program and Short-Term Restorative Care Programme on 1 November 2025. A participant’s registered provider may engage a third-party organisation to deliver an agreed service. EmpowerLink can assess these referrals only when the registered provider formally arranges the service and retains responsibility for care management, the service agreement and program obligations.

Can I choose EmpowerLink as my registered Support at Home provider?

EmpowerLink does not advertise itself as a directly approved Support at Home provider. Ask your registered provider whether it can formally arrange an agreed service with EmpowerLink. Private nursing and support enquiries can also be discussed directly.

Can family members be involved in care planning?

Absolutely! We encourage family involvement in care planning. Family members provide valuable insights and can participate in care plan meetings, regular reviews, and day-to-day coordination with our care team.

Getting Started

How quickly can you start providing services?

Start dates depend on clinical needs, required records, staff matching, funding arrangements and current capacity. After intake, the team will explain what must be completed before the first planned visit and provide a realistic availability update.

Is there a minimum contract period?

Service frequency, notice arrangements and any minimum booking requirements are explained in the service agreement before care starts. Ask the intake team to confirm the terms that apply to your service.

What areas do you service?

EmpowerLink is based in Caboolture and prioritises Caboolture, Moreton Bay corridors and Brisbane Northside. Other Greater Brisbane enquiries are assessed according to service type, safe travel and current capacity. Contact us to confirm coverage for your address.

How are your support workers selected?

All our support workers undergo rigorous screening including: NDIS Worker Screening, National Police Checks, reference checks, skills assessments, and comprehensive orientation training. We match workers to clients based on skills, experience, and personality fit.

Can I meet my support worker before services start?

Yes! We encourage meet-and-greets before services commence. This helps ensure you're comfortable with your support worker and allows us to better understand your needs and preferences.

Billing & Payments

What payment options do you accept?

EmpowerLink works with NDIS participants and private clients. A Support at Home service can be considered only where the participant’s registered provider formally arranges the agreed service under a documented third-party delivery arrangement. The intake team can confirm whether a proposed funding and billing pathway is available before services begin.

Are there any hidden fees?

No hidden fees! We provide transparent pricing upfront and explain all costs before you commit. Any travel or other charges are clearly communicated and agreed upon in advance.

How often will I receive invoices?

Invoice frequency depends on your funding type and preferences. Typically, NDIS clients are invoiced fortnightly, while private clients may choose weekly, fortnightly, or monthly billing.
